Sending mp3s, and zips via msn
I usually just rename the extension, but wondering if there is a hack out for this.
what happens is msn messenger puts up this security center thing blocking the file to be accessable (the file gets sent but the recepient cannot download it)
so again, is there some hack around this, just sick of renaming the extension all the time.

this is what i use to do that, plus it has lots of options to customize msn like removing the ads
http://apatch.org/index.php
lol doesn't happen with mine, that's wierd, is it a security feature of vista?

does it make any difference if you untick the box that says "automatically reject file transfers for known unsafe file types" ? its in options under the "file transfer" tab.
mine is unticked and I can send/receive any mp3/zip extensions.

i think mine is unchecked too, and it just show u a warning mesg before u open the file as opposed to not letting u open the file at all.

I've also found setting a program as your antivirus helps make MSN leave you along, just [ick whatever .exe you want, I used IE haha

mines fine except when you're sending a .exe file, i just rename those but winzip and winrar files are fine
rar files seem fine, zip files however get flagged, and mp3s as well. the box is unchecked. even tried google searching... just gotta be a better way than always renaming the extension
