| Headlight problem
I just replaced my headlights in my 95 civic. For awhile both headlights were workign fine, all of a sudden my left headlight doesn't work when on normal, it only turns on when I activate highbeams. I don't think it's the lightbulb since it works when highbeams are turned on.
Any suggestions?

u said 95 civic, they should be H4's, which are single bulb dual filament. this means the low beam filament happened to prematurely die if the high beams both turn on.
if u have a receipt, i suggest returning it if its fairly new. you should be covered.

hmmmm i was driving again last night and it seems that bulb is working regularly again... maybe there's a problem with the connection? I'll have to look when i get home.
Thanks for all the good feedback though!

check the prongs, sometimes they loosen from the h4 plug.
if that still doesnt fix it, check the headlight relay under the hood. seems to be a hit or miss issue with hondas.

yep, confirmed plug in connection. I started up my car and the OTHER headlight didn't work, popped open the hood wiggled the plug in and the headlight turned on... hope that doesn't become a constant issue. You guys are very helpful thanks!!
Btw... what should i be looking for if i want brighter headlights? Xenon? Halogen? I'm assuming that wattage matters. I don't want HID's.
