I'd rather have an F430. I hate the idea of a luxury Ferrari. It ruins their racing heritage.

Doesn't look like a super car or how a Ferrari should look like. It actually looks quite goofy especially with those Lexus IS-F wannabe tailpipes.

What? it's a GT and Ferraris have been making GTS since the 40s..

Pretty much a Jack of all trades Ferrari. Though I too would take a F430, I can see the appeal this car is going to have. Not really digging the wheel design though....

No matter how ugly it is, the waiting list for this car is still 3years long already ( as of 2008)

I agree that the F430 looks much better than this, most likely because this one has a front mounted V8 .... LOL... does it make sense??

Did I hear it's heavier than a 599GTB......???

i think the california is priced between the 430 and 599?

i still think the 599 looks better.

I was always under the impression that the California was supposed to be a cheaper, entry-level Ferrari. Guess I was wrong.

Still freakin' ugly, though.

I like the California. I think it looks really good. 599 and 430 look better, but it still looks really good.

GM just copied Toyota's fake tailpipe idea for the new Buick.

+1. The reality is that the majority of the buyers are probably fat, balding, middle aged executives who drive the car on the weekends and maybe to the office once in awhile. I would imagine very few owners would track it and all the racing heritage they need is the prancing horse and the price tag.

the interior, i agree is hideous... it should be black... but shit brown gives it that luxurious skidmark feeling right? :) and i'm guessing that they made it to cater to everyone, not just lead foots. exterior looks good though

this car does not compare to the 599...the 599gtb is a beast...this is for posers and chicks

The california is dope, i saw it racing around the ferrari track in maranello. And all around modena these things were driving around.....keep in mind this was in June. ANYWAYS..... i think its the shit, the tailpipes don't look half bad either, not to mention its sounds WAYY better than an is-f. But trust me, its a much better looking car in person, everybody seems to hate it now, give it a year, people will be going ape shit over it and posting in the spotted thread on the daily.

This is sad.

This is a prime example of selling out. Yes the car is quick but it takes away from the whole 'special' element of it.

The reason cars like Zonda, Koenigsegg, Ascari, and others have grown in popularity is because they are taking the place of what Ferrari and Lambo used to be.

Porsche is a sell out making an SUV and now this ugly 4 door car. Lambo is much better but they have still softened up making their cars appeal to a wider audience.

Ferrari needs to make money and I understand that. From a business point of view and looking at profits, this is likely to be a slam dunk for them.

For a real enthusiast though, cost aside, you want something that's different. You want something that is a car for a true lover of the car and heritage. This car is for posh rich kids trying to look cool or for old fat guys to lure girls to suck their cocks.

Not to rant but many of the car companies seem to be going this direction and the ones that do offer the hard core wild impractical enthusiast element are a dying breed.

I'd much rather pick the SL over this car. This is going to take posure to a whole new level.

It is a pretty nice car, but definitely not justified for the price.

I like it, and the automatic hardtop convertible part is pretty sweet.
