Does NCIX Price Match from Newegg.ca?

So I've spec'd out a computer and am going to buy it tonight. So I thought I'd check out some Newegg prices before I go, and sure enough there are a few items that are cheaper. I picked the ones where the model numbers are the exact same. It's a difference of about 199.67 with everything added up so it'd be worth trying. Just wondering if anyone has had any luck with NCIX before.

The i7 920 CPU isn't named a Bloomfield but a Nehalem on Newegg's site so I didn't include it. Same thing with the RAM. It's exactly the same type of RAM on Newegg but the model number differs by 1 digit. So I don't know if I can get away with those.

Here are the specs. All prices are from NCIX, I just stuck a link below the ones I could get a price match.

I don't think they would. newegg is in the usa, bringing the purchases across border will get taxed and that may make up the difference. (don't quote me on that though)

i thought newegg.com never shipped to canada until they started the newegg.ca website. i mean, if you look at their location, it is still in usa.

Well I'll try price matching with Tiger Direct.ca as well. Can't hurt to try. I'll update the thread later to let you know if I got anything.

They should PM from newegg.ca... don't see any reason why they wouldn't.

If you want to go a step further, put the part number of each item in at shopbot.ca and I bet you'll find even lower prices. Use those to PM at NCIX.

I got a price match from Newegg.ca just before this past Christmas.
But keep in mind, they can refuse any price match...especially if they end up losing money by price matching.

exactly what I do before I buy anything on NCIX
But I usually find that NCIX is pretty good with their pricing.

I never shop at Anitec. I've made two purchases from there back when they were at their old location and they're full of shit. They don't stand behind the shitty products that they sell.

Always had good experiences with NCIX though.

I like NCIX too, but some of the stuff they "priced matched" they actually just gave you their sale price for:

NCIX will pricematch pretty much any Canadian price you find.

You could have did better if you had listened to my advice... but whatever... it's your money, not mine.

Yes they do pricematch Newegg.ca Both my roommate and I have succesfully pricematched from there. Use Pricecanada.ca to find the lowest prices on things. I've never had NCIX refuse a PM before and I've used some pretty obscure sites I found on Pricecanada.

As for the cost of a Core i7 build I just priced one out the other day for $1800 (monitor, case, heatsink, cpu, mobo, 6gb ram, dvd drive, 1TB HDD, PSU... the whole computer except keyboard/mouse). The processor isn't very expensive compared to similar CPUs (Q9550 or Q9650) the only reason you are paying more is because you need to upgrade the socket and the X58 mobos are pretty expensive still.

For a $100 you can get a L7 dell with 6 gigs of ram for $1099.
