Hi everyone,

I've been looking at this product, the r-strap and its been getting really good reviews

http://blackrapid.com/rs4.php# (http://blackrapid.com/rs4.php#)

I'd like to get one but its like 50 bux US for a strap. I'm wondering if someone has seen something similiar in idea locally. I was thinking I could make my own from a padded strap from MEC and some hooks or something but my skills in camera gear crafting is pretty shitty.

Crumpler has the Industry Disgrace camera strap.

Beau or Lens & Shutter will have it for a lower price than the Crumpler strore.

Hey senna, that doesn't look too bad. I'll read up on some reviews of it. Any other ones that you recommend?

The Domke straps are good too, but not very stylish.

I like the idea of the r-strap because it looks comfortable and you have quick access. One photography podcast I listen to, the photographers can't shut up about how great this thing is so I've been interested in getting a strap similar to this.

I may just make my own knockoff with some parts

When you know you don't want to spend $50 on a strap, it's time for a DIY. Looks like you can get that done for under $10

mine cost zero dollar, an old unless bag strap does the trick too, as long as the hooking part able to slide along the strap.
