is it an instant kill? like once you got swallowed, you couldn't breathe, thus causing death?? could the vet kill the hippo instantly to try to save a human's life?

Maybe to see if it was tampered with? Maybe it reacted differently than normal and thats what caused the Dwarf to fly off in an odd manner? If it was tampered with or constructed wrong it could bring up charges.
