I am not saying that I hate the ads, they don't bother me at all. I'm saying they're marketing is retarded, because the bot hasn't figured out the patterns of Revscene yet. Like honestly, do you think Learning Biblical Hebrew, rapid weight loss, and black singles are ads that are focused to revscene? I really hope not. Because I would think car parts and such would be better suited, which I'm sure will show up once the bot has figured out the topics here.

You didn't have any of the backing information in your second post. This leaves it open to different interpretation and as such, one that you didn't appreciate.

rs has had its forums private for 8 years.

rs impliments google ads, changes code to allow google to crawl thru the private forums.

google crawls thru forums takes about 7 days according to google

purpose of the crawl is to index what the forums are about. to google, we are just another search term that they need to link relavents too.

by default, they load blacksingles and learning hebrew (fuck if i know why they pick this)

now that the forums are open to public viewing, much easier to index

ads have slowly been adapted to the forums now by google (more relavent ads being displayed)

people will argue about anything for the sake of being able to argue about anything
