I play in 32 players games all the time and its all good, I can see how 256 player games will be a reality in MAG (wich I personally think that it'll be the next actual SOCOM game from zipper), with socom having 256 player slots for their online channels. As for killzone having online hikups in the first week its a given with any popular online shooter.

There is absolutely no hype with Killzone. Hardly any ads and no midnight madness lineups. Sony marketing has failed but having said that, I'm excited for this game.

gameplay is good.

control..stinks. why's sprint on the analog stick?! it makes things so much harder and wears down analog stick so much faster.

i was able to play online smoothly w/ stats...that's amazing considering this is psn

Also, how do you guys do zoom with hold when it's on the R stick? for me it felt hard to move it around while holding it down

The major difference compared to all FPS is that the online mode, has a option to change game mode without getting back to the lobby or w/e, is continuous battle. It switches for TDM to Search and Destroy then switches to something else without having to end game or something, this is all in the middle of a game. I like that idea, and online is pretty amazing. Only thing I hate is that the shotgun is overpowered, If you say shotgun is overpowered in most games.. take a look at kz2. You can get 1 shot kill from a distance with a shotgun hence why everyone I guess is pumping that bitch. I just got my medic class yesterday, and is pretty sweet. Also squad respawn to your leader is useful :)

edit: You can also listen to music from your ps3 while playing online if you guys haven't noticed, the only game I've known capable of doing this so far.

this might sound weird but like on all games like halo and halo lo,l i play on like 6 ish, but for this game i find playing on a lower sens helps, this game like drags a lot on the aim, so when i slowed it down it helped a fair bit

so those ships flying at the end...were the all of the helgan ships? or just the smaller fighter ships?

cause if those were all helgast ships how didnt the ISA spot those...that is a pretty big armada not to see...especially with such advanced war recon

did the update to 1.2 and didn't notice any major differences in the controls, but then again I didn't have any problems with it prior to the update so maybe that's why. Maybe it's a bit quicker and smoother now? Not too sure.

Oh man this game just gets better and better as you play along... the graphics are really something and the lighting effects are amazing - it really creates an epic atmosphere and lets you feel like you're in the middle of a giant warfare. The music kicks ass too and can rival any big-budget movie soundtracks.

Best FPS game on the PS3 right now, bar none.

click on a song you want
it'll start playing
press playstation button to get back into the game

if you want all the songs you like, make a playlist and open that and click on any song and it'll loop thru that list, good times!!!!

is there ammo box in every map? i cant find them in every map

oh and i agree with ch 28...it takes like 1/3 of a clip to kill someone even when aiming at chest height..and the bullets travel time seems too long...

ammo box is usually near your spawn and certain area, you'll need engineer class to repair it though. It usually looks like a broken dumpster when is not repaired.

So i got my 1% ribbon, finished with a rank of 950 for the week. you get 4 trophies for it. Im a fucking monster with technician, secondary ability boost. Nothing like running up to people at light speed and wiping out there entire group.

Is anyone having issues with logging in to the network each time they start up?
I seem to get network errors all the time, but once I get in for the first time, I'll be able to play. It takes a bloody 15-20 minutes at times.

I'm running wireless, and have opened all the ports for that specific IP.

Can anybody shed some light?
