Hey guys, I'm looking for a small daypack to use while on vacation, just to hold necessities (wallet, phones, etc) x 2, plus camera, camcorder and maybe a bottle of water and a light jacket.

Any recommendations? MEC website seems to have some decent ones. Which size in Litres would be a good size?

You could try coast mountain and get one of those camelback things. Just take out the water container inside =]

Thanks bcrdukes =) Seems like they're discussing more of a fullsized daypack in that thread, but some good insight nonetheless.

lol and no, not looking for a murse/man purse. I'm looking for a small pack that will be good enough for a minimalist (and the wife) on vacation.

Good idea on coast mountain, I need to go to Richmond Centre today anyway, so I'll check it out then.

I have a small Camelback backpacks that I use. Like Inaii mentioned, I just took out the water pack/bladder. The one I have looks like this (http://www.benchmarkoutfitter.com/show_product/3178/?utm_source=froogle&utm_medium=datafeed&utm_term=3178).

It's small enough that I can carry a few things in it (essentials and a light jacket) but not overly huge like a regular daypack/weekender.

Mine is a few years old, and picked mine up from the REI outlet for about $60 a few years ago. (when I was living in the US)

My wife has one of these and it will do what you need if you're just carrying things like phones, wallet and maybe some water.

^ I used one of those MEC one sided slingbags throughout my trip to asia, and mexico... it wasn't too bad actually... not the most fashionable, but meh it did the job
