[Amaru]

Some of the stitching on my front seats is coming loose, and it's really pissing me off. It makes the interior look crappy and worn.

Does anyone know of a shop where this can be repaired? The damage is hardly extensive, I wouldn't want to pay too much for it (which immediately rules out the dealer)...

i would try some of the upholstry shops

Tommys Upholstry or Styles Upholstry

try to search feature. a lot of people from a similar thread suggested the cloverdale kwantlen if you want it done cheap.

He is in Victoria, Cloverdale would be a bit of a trip just to fix some stitching

Perry at buckets and benches is the man !!!...However he may be slightly busy to even fit in a job of that size.

I would also check with stlyes upholstery.

Dealerships dont tipically do seat repairs....they will send out to an upholstery shop for the most part.

At work we use tommys, and everything seems to be nice.

Just an idea but have you asked the local dealership who they typically use? I knwo a cowork has nothing but great things to say about the local BMW to the point i may wonder over tomorrow and take a look at what they have.

I'm going to have to respectfully disagree with your coworker on that one. The sales guys are usually quite good (I'm young-ish so they usually ignore me, which I don't really mind.. better than being pestered).

I would only deal with the service department if you like getting bent over pretty hard. It's $120/hour just to diagnose a problem... Island Motorsport (and some of the other indy BMW shops around town) will diagnose for free and then fix it for $70/hour.

Anyway, thanks all for the advice, I will check out some of the shops mentioned and see if they'll be able to help me out.

FYI got this done at Styles and the guys there were great.
