Can I report this to Canada Revenue Agency?

I noticed that my landlord refused to sign any BC legal agreement with me, and I assume he is trying to skip tax on rental by doing that. Is there anyway I can report it ? either to Rental officials, or Canada Revenue Agency?
Thanks a lot!

And I also noticed that my landlord is selling shit load of FAKE LV Gucci etc. brand names online, or maybe even distributing it, is there any place I can report this as well?
It just annoyed the shit out of me that a lot of ppl come and go during late night to buy fake stuff from him/her.

why dont you just find another place to rent?
if i was the landlord i'd kick you out for threatening that kind of stuff, whether legal or not

Signing a Residential Tenancy Agreement will not force him/her to pay taxes because that document is not filled with the government. Have you signed any type of agreement? If not you can be kicked out at anytime. They could put your stuff out side and change the locks and there would be nothing you could do.

RTA will do the stuff for ya if the landlord wont. just mail it to him. if still nothing, then have RTA step in. office is in burnaby on kingsway near nelson by the kfc.
i'd report the fake lv to rcmp.
and don't worry...rta has an inherent bias against landlords.

Yes, they can kick him out at anytime, but with notice given. However, they can't toss his stuff out and change the locks until proper papers are filled out and conditions met (IE. tenant doesn't pay rent/pay rent on time, you need to renovate the suite, you want to live in the suite, etc.)

I did signed one, but its not the BC rental agreement, just some words on a piece of paper. I dont feel secure that way.

tenants are protected under the RTA regardless of the legality of the suite or whether a lease agreement is signed. Legally, they cannot throw you out, but if they throw out your stuff and change the locks, you'll have to call the cops, explain what's going on, and then things will move at the slowest known speed; the speed of the Canadian legal system.
why snitch and get kicked out when you can just leave? doenst sound like theres a legal lease term when you didnt sign anything but "just some words on a piece of paper".

The only difference is if you rat on your landlord, HE KNOWS WHERE You live.
You never know if this guy is associated to associated crime, and there are enough rats in the rcmp to find out who did it. Nothing is anonymous anymore.

Oh wow, so much hate. Chill out guys.
Oh boy kobefans, what a mess, but you do have options.
The paper that you signed, as long as you get to keep a copy of it with yours and your landlord's signature, it should suffice (I am assuming here that it's some sort of agreement between you and the landlord about the terms and conditions of your rental.) You may get more information by contacting these folks: http://www.tenants.bc.ca/
I'm a little bit confused about your case, since you seem like the straight and narrow type while your landlord is obviously on the WAY shady side, why would you choose to live there? Either way, yes, you can report these things to the police. Unfortunately, your landlord will probably kick you out as a result (if not worse).
Actually, if you want, you can probably walk into the Chanel/Louis Vuitton store downtown, provide your landlord's information (address, etc.), tell them that he's selling a bunch of fake Chanels/LVs and they will take care of it for you. They have as much interest in keeping guys (like your landlord) shut down as you do, if not more. This way, its a little more subtle than reporting them to the police, which will require YOUR NAME as the complainant.
^now, I'm not sure how effective it will be to report to the respective stores, but at the purse forum, several of the ladies managed to get shops/businesses shut down once they reported it to the store. I will gladly make a thread specific to your situation if you want, so you know that the ladies did that worked for them.
That's all I have, hope that helps!

First of all, I am moving out for sure, I cannot stand it anymore. Just now the landlord refuse to refund me my deposit, so I am gonna report that anyways, as well as her illegal activities in her house, which means large amount of fake brand name products.
I dont feel bad to report someone who is doing something illegal.

FYI, you don't report to the police about tax related issues.. if you talk to any tax lawyer / accountant, they will gladly give you the CRA's snitch line.
However for the fake goods parts.. it is better that you talk to the original manufacturers.. They are the ones that initiate most of the investigation and give people a reward. keep a list of info, eg license plates dates etc etc. Even better a webcam.

To the OP, not worth the trouble. Just move out. And who cares about having a signed agreement - you're not doing anything wrong so why worry? Revenue Canada isn't going to come after you for anything.

move your stuff out slowly and keep the bare essentials there. That way when you report them, they can't destroy much of your stuff. Definitely report them, b/c you as a renter have a lot of rights.
