He sounds like he is about to open a can of kick ass on that guy. He doesn't sound too crazy, he just sounds genuinely frustrated and mad about completing a scene, it really shows how serious and dedicated he has for acting.

Do you like Phil Collins? I've been a big Genesis fan ever since the release of their 1980 album, Duke. Before that, I really didn't understand any of their work. Too artsy, too intellectual. It was on Duke where Phil Collins' presence became more apparent. I think Invisible Touch was the group's undisputed masterpiece. It's an epic meditation on intangibility. At the same time, it deepens and enriches the meaning of the preceding three albums. Christy, take off your robe. Listen to the brilliant ensemble playing of Banks, Collins and Rutherford. You can practically hear every nuance of every instrument. Sabrina, remove your dress. In terms of lyrical craftsmanship, the sheer songwriting, this album hits a new peak of professionalism. Sabrina, why don't you, uh, dance a little. Take the lyrics to Land of Confusion. In this song, Phil Collins addresses the problems of abusive political authority. In Too Deep is the most moving pop song of the 1980s, about monogamy and commitment. The song is extremely uplifting. Their lyrics are as positive and affirmative as anything I've heard in rock. Christy, get down on your knees so Sabrina can see your asshole. Phil Collins' solo career seems to be more commercial and therefore more satisfying, in a narrower way. Especially songs like In the Air Tonight and Against All Odds. Sabrina, don't just stare at it, eat it. But I also think Phil Collins works best within the confines of the group, than as a solo artist, and I stress the word artist. This is Sussudio, a great, great song, a personal favorite.

I f'kin love Christian Bale, I love how he doesn't give a f'ck about being a mainstream star w. typical roles (a la Tom cruise) and does a lot of indie type movies like "machinist" and shiet.
Great actor imho.

i think actors are forgetting the fact that they're just fucking actors. they're nothing without everyone else on the set.
when did actors go from just being "actors", to being the boss of the set?

When they're making more money than everyone in the whole production combined.

i dono if ne 1 heard on the beat on radio today
but the director was young, unapologetic and he walked on the set numerous times and christian bale was really into the scene
so i guess you cant realli blame christian bale if the director kept doing it again and again.

He sounds like he is about to open a can of kick ass on that guy. He doesn't sound too crazy, he just sounds genuinely frustrated and mad about completing a scene, it really shows how serious and dedicated he has for acting.
So when one of my colleagues screws up I can respond like this? Just memorize this outburst verbatim and regurgitate for several minutes?
And when the VP calls me in for a "talk" I can tell him I'm just serious about my job?
I'd be surprised if I were merely put on serious disciplinary action. No, I'd be fired. So would most people in most jobs. A level of professionalism is expected and required.
If he would have confronted the guy professionally (but seriously) he would be a professional. In this instance he's nothing more than a guy that doesn't have control of his temper. Whoever called him a diva is right.
So when one of my colleagues screws up I can respond like this? Just memorize this outburst verbatim and regurgitate for several minutes?
We're not talking about plain screw ups though, and everyone here can only go on assumptions of the severity. But according from Christian Bale's rants, its not exactly just a screw up. It was an ongoing continious gross interference of his work.
Just a guess as to Bale's perspective.
Plus, I doubt it Christian Bale would just blow up like that. Any reasonable person wouldn't just unload without asking or warning the guy first beforehand about his inadvertent interruptions. Generally speaking, for things to reach the boiling point, there has to be a period of escalation. I'm guessing, the recepient of the rant had done something to escalate it. But I don't imagine the people or the media taking this into account as it's not quite so convenient to the enjoyment of sensationalizing such an incident.
(Again, these are just assumptions I'm making based on the standards of a reasonable person)

no when you or your colleague fucks up your VP can talk to you like Bale did and you'd have to take it and he'd have no reprecussions unless you had the balls to deck him :)
