Had this question for quite a long time. Could you let me know how to make a left turn on intersection with oncomming traffic ?

Wait for the lights turn yellow ? six sense ?
what else is bothering you driving on the right side?

you'd probably be safest just to wait unless you can see properly...

also, i'd imagine going through drive thrus and toll booths would suck... and also merging onto a highway would be scary

at least those are the things that have made me rethink getting a RHD car...

It's not bad at all. Pretty easy to get used to, and like everything, just take it easy to begin with and within a week, everything will feel comfortable.

Have your passenger tell you when to turn, duh!

Just don't forget to not turn too tight when you're turning left, don't want to clip other cars or medians.

i used to use a retractable pointer for presentations that i borrowed from work, hooked the card on the end, and stuck it out the passenger window... worked great until the damn card got unhooked and would fall under the car :haha:

as for left turns... i waited for the light to change to red (i still can't see those who like playing yellow light chicken) or someone behind me would stand on their horn, whichever comes first :(

other thing that bothered me was that i had a tendency to get too close to the center line because i keep instinctively try to move away from the shoulder :o

Eeerrr sometimes its kinda scary to ask my opposite shotgunner

I just wait and if the guy behind me honks 'cause its clear, i just stick my middle finger out from my side :D

i think takeda enterprises sells a left turn camera. you mount the camera on the left pillar. and use the screen it provides to guide you

lol funny you bring that up. I was coming home last night going eastbound on 1st ave. As I hit Nanaimo I saw all this popo and a smashed up right handed GTR. Now I wasn't there to witness it but judging by where the GTR was I would assume he was making a left and smoked an on coming car but who knows.

Lean over.....

Unless you are 4'9, it's pretty easy to lean across at a drive thru. Done it many many times with no problems.

I lean over to see if there are any cars prior to turning left.

nd also merging onto a highway would be scary

Merging onto a highway is way easier I find...

no problems turning left. i usually just wait for the red. or if there is a left turn lane, i stop short of the stop line a few car lengths to make the sensor think there is a big line up of cars needing to turn left. it usually triggers the advance left that way.
