So I am taking this ASC course where you watch artsy chinese movies and crtique them.

Problem is, the movies are hard to find WITH ENGLISH subs. Anyone here know where I can find or rent?

Durian Durian directed by Fruit Chan?

The Professor gave me a version with subs- she didnt mention it was Cantonese subs.. and is not replying to my emails for some strange reason.

TIA!!

Don't know what area of town you're in, but pay a visit to your local independent video store. Durian Durian is fairly well known.

Thanks, I checked Blockbuster, Rogers and usual places. I went to Tom's since they have some Chinese movies. I do not watch Chinese movies normally so I am not very familiar with rental places

Blinky: Can you name a few Chinese Places?

ASC 302, and I wish I spoke Mandarin or Cantonese or whatever it is the Proff is speaking in.

Hilarious that revscene members are helping me, but thanks everyone.

bbbj: I was excited to see another post hoping to find my movie. I keep on DL the wrong torrents with no subs.

sas - which area of town do you live?

Alma: limelight video

I'd call those places to start.

only found subtitles for it in french maybe if you could read that? ;)

or throw the french subs into a translator (google?) and get the english version

u can search for LiuLian piao piao or Durian Durian in your searches

allsubs.org opensubtitles.org divxsubtitles.net

they all have the subs but in french, under either title noted above

Thanks everyone!

StylinRed: Yeah its funny that you can find it with French subs but not English and all I remember from French 10 was, "Mon nom est.."

eddoe: I would give a double thanks if that was an option
