Who plans to go? I hate Grouse.
If it was free, maybe...but still, I hate Grouse.
The only thing I'd want is if the weather is nice, for someone to capture some sick sunrise shots with some boarders/skiiers blurred in the picture or something like that.

Too many tourists. Runs are very unimaginative and plain.. and filled with loads of people.
The terrain park isn't bad, when it's set up though.
[I ride Mount Seymour.]

What time were you there? I got there at 9pm and stayed till maybe 7-8am.
When I went to the cabin to take a piss, there was a shitload of people in cabin sleeping with shit drawn all over their face.
Some pretty funny shit, lol.

Way to play the race card, idiot.
I'm Asian, and I go to Seymour.
I went last year for the hell of it. I'm not a fun of Grouse either (crowded, runs are too short and boring) but there isn't many opportunities to snowboard in the middle of the night.
Last year, it was really foggy and icy. For the people that went up for the sleigh rides and skating, I think both were cancelled due to the foggy conditions. Way too many people early in the night but it did get better as it hit early morning.
What I didn't like much was it seemed a little disorganized. For the friends I went with that went for the skating and sleigh ride, they didn't know it was cancelled until we got to the top. The cafeteria was closed so everyone was buying from the mini cafe thing but almost all the sandwiches and drinks were sold out. By 3am, the lodge was packed with people sleeping on the floors lol. Long lift lines were made even more annoying with drunk guys and people at the front and back of the lines throwing snowballs.

grouse > cypress
Seymour keeps it real.
There are less posers dressed up with all their gear from Westbeach like you, thinking they're hot shit on a board, but they can't even fucking carve. Would that be you up at Grouse?
Spend your time [and money] on learning how to board first, then come talk shit.
Seymour > Cypress > Grouse. But that's just a personal preference and opinion.
you think grouse is better than cypress? ahahahhahahaahahahahahahahahahaahahahahahahah
+1.

LOL!!! cuz all the pros board at seymour right...
i dont board anymore only back in hs, $150 y2play season pass ftw
and funny cuz i was such a jew i had a shitty board and didnt even have snowboard pants/jacket... actually i still dont
only boarded for a 2 seasons but can land back flips 360s etc no problem, BEAAATCH
with the lift @ grouse u can get wayy more runs in if u bomb down the hill same speed as cypress, and theres always tons of untouched powder trails on decent snow days, you dont even have to go early to find them

Check out snowboard videos, there's a lot of stuff filmed up at Seymour actually.
Anyways...I don't want to fight with you on the internet. So let's just leave it at this. =]

ok grouse vs cypress is subjective, a lot of my friends that have been boarding since they were toddlers all prefer grouse > cypress, to be honest its not too different i just hate the chair cuz it takes fuckign forever.. and i also havnt been in like 4 years to cypress
seymour tho is just a phat drop... lil kids go to seymour to learn how snowboard/ski, when ppl talk about hitting up the slopes on the weekend, seymour isnt even in the equation
and scheng... dont talk.. why dont you go make some more threads about how to sit next to girls and initiate conversation on the bus LOL

Grouse is good for a family day trip.
seymour is AWESOME if u know the not so "public" runs and the terrain park and just in general terrain is AWESOME theres a reason why they call seymour freemour. ill leave it at that.
cypress i think is the best local mtn. great snow and the feel of a big mtn.
anyone who thinks grouse is the best prolly just started boarding and loves the cut. more power to you.

All 3 local mountains are shit when it comes to doing strictly runs only (not halfpipe or terrain park). I rarely get any good days here. Whistler is x100 better. It's not packed with fucking noobs on the runs, especially ones that think it's smart to sit in the middle of a run (well except the bottom half of Whistler).
