Hey guys,

There is probably not much of a market on RS for this car, but I'll just say that ALL offers are welcome. This has been my winter cruiser while my S2K is garage stored. PLEASE KEEP ALL NEGATIVE COMMENTS TO YOURSELF! Thanks. :)

PHOTOS ONLINE AT: http://www.newviewstudios.ca/docs/cam/Emma/

Copied and Pasted from my Craigslist ad:

This jewel was originally my grandmother's car. This is a rare find!

- 1982 Toyota Tercel
- 4 Door Automatic
- 165,000 kms
- White exterior/Blue vinyl & cloth interior
- Family owned since day one

I have every single service record dating back to the day it was driven off the lot. Recently it has had a braking system overhaul including new drums/shoes, new calipers, pads, rotors and lines (1 year ago - $800). Regular oil changes and day to day maintenance as well.

The body is in exceptional shape. There is some minor surface rust in the wheel wells that can be easily sanded/painted (not on the exterior as you can see from the pics). The only recent damage to it was from a winter driving mishap (minor scrape on drivers side front bumper). The interior had seat covers on it it's ENTIRE life until about 6 months ago. It looks brand new, aside from a small tear in the drivers seat vinyl. This does not look like a 27 year old car - the pics speak for themselves.

This car never misses a beat. Starts every time. It has 2 snow tires on the front wheels, and it goes anywhere in the winter! It's the perfect car for a new driver, especially since it costs me literally nothing every month to run and goes a long way on a tank of gas.

Offers are welcome but keep in mind that this car holds personal value to me and I'd hate to see it go for less than it's worth. I've had offers in the past for over $2000 by the public simply walking by this car, but at the time I was not ready to sell. I hope it goes to someone who will respect and maintain this jem as much as my family/I have.

Asking $2400 Negotiable

That's MINT!!!

But it can't claim collectors plate. The cars eligable for those plates needs to have been limited in production along with the age and condition.

regardless, that's crazy good maintenance and care by your family.

Thanks for the comments guys!

Saiko: Just so you are aware, you must have been misinformed. This things is 100% eligable for collector plates. If the car is over 25 years old, it doesn't matter how many were made.

Read here: http://www.icbc.com/registration/reg_spec_veh_coll_veh.asp

Also, everything must be original. On this car, everything is 100% original (even the wheels that are covered by hubcaps). There is an AM ONLY radio with ONE speaker! :)

Bump for a great guy and a fantastic little car! My Mom had one of those - same year, colour, interior colour etc...

That car was a little workhorse!

Wow, you know, at first when I read your post, my initial response was that it was over-priced, but once I looked at the pictures, man... that thing is beautiful. I'm a toyota guy at heart, and I must say, that's a steal for the condition it's in, and you're right, it can be collector plated. Great for a 2nd car, $300 a year insurance too! :)

G/L with your sale!

There are no "restrictions" per say, however it's classified as pleasure use only for collector plates. Of course it is a very fine line as I know many people who insure their daily drivers as pleasure use only and ICBC never knows any better.

ah, ok thats what I thought. So its basically the same as insuring your car w/out adding business-use insurance. I'm assuming you wont get the "6 day per month business usage" that the basic coverage allows you, but for the price of collector insurance I bet its totally worth it anyways

that service record book must be pretty full!!

Forgot to mention that the car went through air car last September and passed with no problem :)
