Anyone has dealt with any specific shipping company? i am not the person who likes to shop online etc etc

Considering selling my Volks and may have to ship to either Toronto or US. Which company is the best to deal with and cheapest?

drive over across the border, use a US shipping company, UPS, Puralator, USPS.

works out to be around starting $30 bucks to ship each wheel.

I have shipped a single wheel within Canada via Greyhound and it was fairly cheap. It was put on a bus, and was sent, "station to station" so the buyer had to pop over to the local greyhound station and sign for it. By going Station to Station, it saves a few days in the shipping cycle as well as a few bucks. I think at the time I paid 18 bucks for the single wheel to be shipped. Might be more now, as it was a few years ago. As for US shipping. I have yet to find a good deal on shipping to the States from Canada, it has gotten to the point that either I take it across or I have a buddy take it across and ship it for me.

i just called FEDEX, they said it will be $152 to ship to toronto by land

Now the question is where do i find / buy the boxes that fits all four rims with some styleronfoam (sp) to protect it from bumping into each other. They said they dont sell boxes

if you are shipping within canada, use grey hound. if u are shipping to the states, might as well bring them across the border to ship.

1) its cheaper
2) its faster, your wheels wont get stuck being processed in customs. this can take a few hours, or a few days depending on the volume that US customs has to go thru.

keep ur old tire boxes, or swing by a shop and ask if they have any spare boxes
