hey guys,

im curious if many of you guys that do some long trips or expeditions run secondary tanks..

i was thinking of picking up a 145L secondary fuel tank....but im wondering if it will sag my rear end....is there a good size fuel tank that will not sag the rear end....or should i just upgrade to some heavy-duty springs?

How long of a distance are you planning on traveling? It just 145L seems a little excessive to me.
I have seen lots of Toyota’s do the pemberton run through Harrison with a full tank and an extra jerry can.
But if you do want to upgrade to heavy duty springs I would suggest (if your staying stock) the moog cargo coils, it takes a lot of weight to make your rear end sag with those installed.

I have the stock tank in my diesel Ram, plus two 35 gallon saddle tanks mounted on either side under the doors...like a semi.

your better off just getting jerry cans. haveing such a large extra tank you will basicly have to syphon the gas into the original. If your worried about going on a lot of long trips and fuel your better off to convert to propane which can hold 250+litres for those trips.

I didnt even know there was enough room under most trucks to fit an entire new gas tank..
