Hotel fire in Beijing last night more dramatic than 911

It happened yesterday at a hotel construction site (of the Mandarin Oriental Beijing to be opened later this year in 2009).
Fast forward to 1:31 minute, the fire looks more impressive than the plane hitting the World Trade Centres.

BEIJING – China's state-run television broadcaster apologized Tuesday for an unlicensed fireworks display that sparked a blaze that destroyed a luxury hotel in the network's headquarters complex in downtown Beijing.

They say it's from fireworks.
It was a pretty crazy fire. The smell and haze is still around today.

I just can't stop thinking that it's not as simple as they say it is.
(eg. fireworks.... wtf.. how much fireworks was there?)
Looks like someone purposely lit the whole building on fire because the company contracted to finish this building is in deep shit and they can no longer finish it.
So what do they do? they light the whole damn thing on fire to try and scam the insurance company.
Just a thought.

High temp fundraiser...
And how is that more dramatic than 911? Really. No one was hurt, there were no politics involved. Where's the drama? It's a construction fire.

Looked pretty spectacular. Surprise the building did not collapse.

One thing I don't get it, how the fuck it gets the entire building? There should be nothing to feed the fire, it's just firework, not aircraft with full tank of fuel flew into it? amazing the building doesn't collaspe like WTC?

I bet if it happened in the US, first thing reporters will clarify is that it's not done by terrorists.
It's quite a shame as the Mandarin Oriental is really a cool brand:

It's a property where many celebrities stay, including Takeshi Kaneshiro (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Takeshi_Kaneshiro), etc.
