i go to vic all the time for business, but i never have a chance to get out, so i'm clueless as to where the best places to chill/dance/drink are.

anything going on on wednesday nights?

I like electronic music so I go to Hush usually. I have a great time there. I had a really good time at Upstairs with RS peeps but that was a few years ago and they lost my credit card. I had a good time at Plan-B the one time I went.

I've heard good things about Irish Times as a pub but I've never really gone there.

I really didn't like Hugo's when I went there one time. V-Lounge was alright the time I went there but there were a lot of cougars and older people.

Sugar sucked when I went there, and I've head from others that it sucks, but it does sometimes brings in good acts.

Plan B has cages and brass poles :p always seems to be a good time
Upstairs is always OK, i dont know why i end up going there when i have a better time at Plan B or social club
Social Club is fun, though it could just be the specific group of friends i go with when i go there.
Irish times is a fun pub to hang out at

i didnt notice the weds part of your post, my stuff is referring to thurs/fri/sat night.
darcy's pub is becoming a fave due to their live music and such (again on weekends at least)

Depends what you're into. There are some pretty good places for rock/ metal/ indie stuff too. Evo is fun for that, and open all week.

check out "Mint". It's a great place to hang before heading out. It's right downtown: great food and drinks, and it's underground with a great environment. Plus they have a live DJ at almost all times.

For clubs, Element, Plan B, RJ, Upstairs.

If you are brown and from the lower mainland you will have a tough time getting in.

oh and the dress code over here is a little different than the mainland, here at most bars you're NOT allowed to wear affliction or xtreme couture shirts (whereas over there it doesnt seem like you're allowed in if you arent wearing one of)
