There's Kim Ga Nae in Richmond. $19.95 I think for AYCE dinner. I went the other day and thought it was pretty good. They had pretty high quality meats. Decent selection for korean BBQ. Service sucked though.

It's where the old Fukuruku used to be.

if you go at lunch, its only like $13 or $14 and its the EXACT same menu. my recommendation is though, go around the slow period like 2-4pm. if its busy, it is very hard to get any service. the place is way understaffed. on a good note, the meat is pretty high quality and the mini bibimbap is good stuff

+1 for Kim Ga Nae. If theres no more AYCE at Kyung Bok then I guess Kim Ga Nae is the only one in Richmond? I don't think i've ever been to a korean restaurant that had really good service.

they meat was pretty good and it was cheap! only 19.95

i would go for late night though $12.95, it's pretty much the same shit less 5 things. no rib eye steak... but i can cut that out for $7. lol

i hate korean BBQ cuz your clothes smell like shit after. i had to wash my jacket cuz it smelled THAT BAD

when did u go? they stopped AYCE for awhile then recently they offered it again, but with a shrunk down menu, a bit crappier meat, and a cheaper price.

^This place is a sad excuse for a Korean restaurant. Went twice and swore to never go back. Poorly managed, you never get what you ordered and very under staffed. Oh yeah, the huge speed bumps are a turnoff too :P

i fucking hate kyung bok. it is probably the worst managed restaurant i have stepped in. its a task just to order food since the servers avoid you. not to mention, the food takes fucking forever and sometimes is either the wrong order or doesn't come at all.

me and my family had a rough time (stomach pains) after eating at that lansdowne place

and yes, it seems unless you're korean... they avoid you like the plague when you want service.

There's a KBBQ on Bridgeport, forgot the name but it was pretty good. Not sure if they offer AYCE tho. Located in the same strip mall as the A&W.

So what can you order on the AYCE menu?
Besides the meat, what kind of vegetables do they give you at these Korean BBQ places?
Do they give you rice or noodles or anything?

kim ga nae doesn't give you plain white rice on the ayce menu (so i assume its extra) but they have bibimbap which is stonebowl rice with veggies+spicy sauce. it would usually contain beef too but i guess they took it out cause they assume your going to get beef'd anyways.

Kim Ga Nae is across the road from Aberdeen (south side i believe). Their late night used to be 12.95 but i think they increased recently to 15.95? Their regular ayce should still be the same 19.95

i went to kim ga nae last month
food was good especially for the lunch price. i'd def would go back
the only sour note is that i forgot my credit card there and when i called them 20 minutes after i left they said they didn't have it or that the server already cut it up to prevent anyone else from using it? lol
my bad i guess

I suggest Kim Ga Na for AYCE but only for dinner

I believe the difference is you get kalbi - which is the epitome and definition of KBBQ.

Otherwise for lunch you get the regular types of meet (beef and pork bulgogi - which is really boring)

I last checked this place out about a year ago - so no updates as to whether its so good.

Kim Ga Nae use to be SOOOOO CHEAP when it came out. For it's quality of food to price ratio, I would've went every week. They also sheltered off half the restaurant for the non AYCE portion, which was weak. But what has happened as of late is that they have constantly raised the prices to match their quality of food, and thus I don't know how often I can afford to go back anymore.
