| Online Physics 12
Hi,
A friend of mine needs to take physics 12 in order to get into a program. Wondering if theres any physics 12 online course that he can take. He is looking for something that he can email his assigments and tests instead of handing them in in person, because hes always busy with work.
Thanks in advance.

^I thought provincials are optional now?
At any rate, most (if not all) online courses that allow you to email your assignments still require you to take the chapter tests/midterms/finals in person.

If your friend is a canadian citizen or a landed immigrant, has completed BC/Canadian high school or wants to complete it and is at least 19 years of age, then your friend may be qualified to take physics 12 online tution free at a VSB Adult School. Your friend will need to pay $20 for registration, need proof of status (citizen/immigrant ie. brith certificate, passport, citizenship card, etc.) and have high school transcripts. If your friend does not have high school transcripts, then he/she will need to write a ~2 hour english and math assessment. You can always request transcripts from the BC Ministry of Education. Your friend should call one of the centers (South Hill, Main, Hastings, Downtown East, Gathering Place or Roberts) and book an appointment with an advisor. Each of the centers run slightly different due to student demographics. Your friend can begin anytime and will have 4 months from the date of registration to complete the course. There may be a textbook deposit if a textbook is required. For most courses, students will have to go to one of the centers to write the tests/exams. If your friend does the work, his/her in center tests/exams should reflect the marks. Also, there is no harm in taking the provincial if your friend really did the work.

Generally, an online course should be easier than the actual course and the exams are slightly easier, but having said that, physics is a tough course. I know that I would not be able to get through physics without seeking help because there's too many visual aspects of this course that I find really difficult to grasp alone. So unless you're amazingly smart and have an aptitude for physics, good luck taking this course online.
