i sold my prelude w/ mods including the rare jdm goodies for 6800. why did alpine pick that car as a show car?

Eastwood

02-21-2009, 10:24 AM
That Prelude is girly... can someone just burn it down... ( joking )

There's also a 2006 stock Black RSX-S on sale f0r $27k. I wish him/her good luck but frankly, no one is gonna pay more than $20k for a 3 year old RSX... no matter what.....

igeemctwist
02-21-2009, 10:27 AM
Ugly...I wouldnt pay more then 8G for that

If Alpine actually "built" the car in 1993 or something and it had like ~100 miles on it (from only being in shows, promo events, etc), then it might be worth 40k to a collector.

That doesn't appear to be the case.

it might not be worth 50 grand but it sure is unique. not my thang though and I wouldn't shell out 50g unless I won todays lottery or something.

for a prelude I dont think it looks all that bad. its a matter of differing opinions i guess.
i just think the owner should get his due props for modifying it and I believe he put a lot of time, money and energy into his car.

As a performance car this fails; i/h/e - sorry. Suspension - incomplete.
As a mobile sound system this fails; dolby 5.1 - speaker count doesn't match. No separates?

Assuming it was appraised at $54,500 in 1993 a mere 10% annual depreciation gets you $10,098.96. I would pay half that, less cost to remove stickers and repaint.

02-22-2009, 10:13 AM
I gotta get me one of thoseIgnited push button start :p

It must make up the rest of the value of the car, so maybe around $30,000??

mmmk

this sounds more like it...$5000 sounds fair lol (time spent to remove the rice from this car is gonna consume the buyer)
