what you guys think of the new spring 09 Dom Rebel collection?

what's your favorite collection?

personally i like the royal army collection the best and sands of sin. i was kinda disappointed with the spring 09 collection. i was expecting more instead of all this recycled stuff.

I'm not really a big fan, I was hoping for something a little more simple. I was looking forward to picking up a couple of the hats, but none of the Boy's Co's received any.

Here's a picture of my current collection...

It's missing two hoodies and another Swarovski shirt.

I actually tossed my shirt in the wash inside out and used the gentle cycle. I figured that if the gentle cycle is good enough for silk and satin then my shirt should survive. My shirt also smelt like it was sitting in a warehouse for months so I wanted to give it a good wash. I wouldn't do that with one of the new hoodies though because the fabric is heavier, the crystals are grouped closer together and the hoodies cost around $700+. On my tag it said "shirts with crystals must be dry cleaned or washed by hand only, then layed flat to dry." If your willing to invest $700+ on a hoodie I would just spend an extra $20 or so to have it professionally dry cleaned.

I just have the hoodies that were released in December.

Oh, I don't really have a favorite collection, I just want all the Angel Wing shirts in every color and from every collection, especially the Lust & Desire Collection.

not really too familiar with dom rebel brand so enlighten me a little. is this just another phase from the ed hardy, christian dior explosion. How different is it from Dussault?
All this reminds me of the illegal gangsta wear outlawed from being worn inside clubs.
Don't shoot me for saying this but this is the stuff all the gangster rock. Don't see why paying 7 bills for a hoodie is practical considering it costs 10 bucks to make.

I'm not too familiar with the history of the brand myself, as I just started buying/collecting their shirts about two years ago. From what I know Dom Rebel has been around since 2003, long before Ed Hardy and Christian Audigier, back then the designs were different and had a whole different audience. From what I've heard/read the brand was alot more scarce, and made in even smaller qualities, which made it a bit of a collection item.

Nowadays, the brand is alot easier to purchase, and has become associated with brands like Ed Hardy, CA and Xtreme Couture, I guess because a couple of their past collections have involved skulls.

I fell in love with the brand because their shirts are different, and a couple of the designs/messages remind me of a couple Missimo shirts I owned in Elementary school. The brand is also made in Canada and only available at the beginning of each and every season.

The reason why the hoodies cost so much is because their detailed with dozens of hand mounted Swarovski crystals. They aren't rhinestones that are glued on like Ed Hardy, every crystal is actually attached with a clasp on the inside of the shirt to hold it in place.

Out of all those brands (eg, edhardy, ca, etc) dom rebel is probably the best. I've actually looked into buying a winged shirt or one of their new art gallery shirts, but I don't want to give off an image of just another 15 year old with "gangster" clothing.

Impressive collection beanzzz. I used to love dom rebel, i started buying their tshirts from the collection devil music, and each one after that, such as "sands of sin" i had bought a lot of their shirts. I even had the "fuck pink" tshirt with all the swarovski crystals. I think since last year i had a total of like 15 tshirts? Now i have like 5 left. lol I agree with beanzzz their products were made in much more smaller quantities, and the only people that knew the brand well would buy it. But then they got mass produced and I guess just like every other brand, people started noticing them and by the time you knew it, everyone had one.

I sold all 10 of my shirts either to friends or on ebay. I bought my fuck pink one for 200 and sold it for $400 which is much better than i expected. Plus I grew out of the phase. I don't even remember the last time i wore my dom rebel..

It started out in Montreal. By some Vietnamese guy and some white guy. It started off pretty small and has gotten quite popular lately.

+1! The Atelier Flowers and the Swarovski Skull Foil are currently my two favorites right now. Did you order yours from the website or did you find it instore? When the collection was released none of the Boys CO locations carried it, and I was hoping to be one of the only people too have it in Vancouver.

I bought both of them from the Boys Co in Metrotown when the collection was first released. Your best bet is to call around and see if they have stock, or try and order from the Dom Rebel website.

If you cant find the hats, wait until the new collection and NEONEX on ebay will have all the stuff from the previous collection for sale on ebay at awesome prices. Ive bought two shirts from him and recently got my hands on the SWAROVSKI FUCK PINK shirt. (its actually the regular fuck pink art gallery shirt but its goign to be customized as it will have jet hemaatite crystals on it (ONLY ONE TO BE EVER MADE). Its probably being crysatllized right now. I got lucky cuz they dont use the same crystals that they use to use a few collections ago when the shirt came out. Anyways, wait a couple of months and check out ebay, im sure youll get some of the shirts that most of you could not get your hands on this collection.

By the way very disappointed by this collection. Sands of Sin, Forbidden Paradise and Royal Army had the nicest shirts Id ever seen.

Will pay good money for shirts from the older collections and very good money for the bloody romance in white and horney monkeys in any color. Need size medium.

And Im also goign to Montreal with some friends in the summer and will definitely hit up the summer sample sale. If anyone is looking for an item, pm me and Ill try to remember when I go.

And to the person that said the shirts cost 10 bux to make, you couldnt be more wrong. Im actually in the process of trying to design my own line, which will be dom rebel inspired. So I know a thing or two. The cost of fabrication for the $200 swarosvki shirt that theyve released ranges anywhere from 70-150 dollars. That is the cost of fabrication for dom rebel. The shirts that they use are bought from American Apparell, all of them are white or black. They then use special dye techniques to color the shirts (no coloured dom rebel shirt is the same). Designs are hand drawn initially, and swarosvkis are all hand placed (alot of labor costs). This is also why they are limited in quantity, the time and intricacy it takes to make one obstructs the possibility of mass production. The price you pay is for uniqueness and care and inticacy in the fabrication method.

One more thing I should mention is, DO NOT HAND WASH. What happens when hand washing is the force used to scrub and drain water from the shirts break little fabrics within the shirt. It causes the shirt to stretch and then eventually it shrinks back to size when it dries, but the fabrics have already stretched or broke and you'll notice that they start to fit loose and akward. I strongly recommend dry clean only. If your gonna pay 700 dont cheap out, make sure you dry clean and dry clean only at a place that has been in business for a long time. I get all my shirts dry cleaned, which helps them last longer (they dont use abrasive chemicals or hard water). Hope this helps.

I read about Dom Rebel about 2-3 years ago in a magazine called Strut. At the time their design's where nicer imo. I'm currently located in Montreal and i don't really see many people flossing the shirts or hats...not as much as ed hardy or Ca stuff.

Can you tell me when the Sample Sale is usually? I wouldn't mind checking it out.

Just checked out that seller on ebay of the Dom Rebel stuff...why is he located in Ottawa when the stuff is sold/made in Montreal.

Ps. The dude that models the shirt on ebay needs to wax his chest hair...it's sticking out all over the place....i wouldn't want to buy a shirt from them knowing that his sweat ass chest hair has been all over it hahaha

AAnthony: What "feel" are you looking for? eg. Tight fit, loose fit, baggy?

For a tight fit, obviously go for small [I know guys that are 6 feet tall, 170+ pounds that wear small, Dom Rebel shirts expand]
Loose fit: Medium
Baggy: Medium [Depending on the shirt collection] / Large

If you don't mind me asking, you got a picture of the shirt / link? Cause from my experience, not all Dom Rebel mediums fit the same.... >.>

for some reason i can't find the actual pic!!!
but this is the shirt
http://www.authenticforum.com/other-denim-brands-authenticity-checks/145991-auth-check-dom-rebel-shirt.html
only different is the one i want is white, with black writing (none of this pink bs), and i'll also have a normal neck.

I like a tighter fit....nothing too sexy tho!!! i can fill out a medium pretty well, but i hear doms are made larger than normal. I'm worried about the medium being too big....I just don't want to spend a bill on a shirt and look like in swimming in it.....if you know what i mean......i just assumed the smalls were made for people 5'4 130
