Irregular Heartbeat

My heart has been beating irregularly for the past 2 hours.
Pretty messed up. I was power running for 30 seconds 2:00am in the morning to my car leaving my friends place. Then when I got home, I noticed my heart beating super fast. Usually it goes back to normal after awhile. It just kept beating fast.
I checked my heart beat rate to be 100 beats/minute.
Any of you guys have similar experiences or issues?

See doctor and see if you can get a referral to a holter monitor thing. They'll hook you up with electrodes and some places will have you run on a treadmill.

Well my heart beat started to go back to normal after 2hours.
Maybe I'm just really out of shape?

I just checked my heart beat per minute and it's 72/min. That seems reasonable, because normal heart beat is around that range.
I guess I'll make an appt to see my doctor anyways.

What were you doing leading up to your "power run" at 2am?

Normal heart rate is in the range of 60-100 so I don't think there's anything to worry about. If you were running, it'd actually be pumping way faster than that.

Your original post lacks a few details. Are you fat and out of shape? Did you eat or drink heavily leading up to your "30 second power walk" ?

I'm just like any other typical average guy. I weigh about 146 pounds.
I am fine now, my heart beats are back to normal. But I'm just gotta go in Monday to see my doctor anyways.

That is VERY variable. Some people walk around with a HR of 40 and aren't symptomatic. I know you read that in a text book but clinically as long as they're not symptomatic we don't worry. Unless of course they have several underlying health issues.
To the OP. As long as you're not feeling any symptoms such as anxiety, light headedness, chest pain. I think you'll be okay. There are a lot of people who have irregular heart rates. If you're doing vigorous exercise chill and take a break. Don't sit down or anything just walk around for a couple of minutes and see how you feel.

Sounds completely normal to me. a Holter test would be a complete waste of time because there were no other symptoms. You can go to your Doctor and he may order some cardiac blood work but if you had heart problems there would be other symptoms.
