| When does Metrotown open their doors?
I know the mall opens at 10am but when do they open the doors so you can enter the mall?
I want to park at metrotown and skytrain down to downtown for an interview but I gotta get into the mall before at about 9.
thanks in advance.

I work usually at 8:00am and I'm usually in the mall grabbing a cup of coffee and muffin at around 7:30am, if not, earlier.
I work at Metrotower I if you're looking for credibility. I've been working there for over 3 years so you're pretty safe.

I said that because a friend of mine got ticketed there once--I don't know how long he left it there for.
here's the directory...
but there's nothing on parking. http://www.metropolisatmetrotown.com/mall-hours |

Don't be surprised if you get ticketed for parking for more than 3 hours.

It's private property, so technically they do have a right to ticket you. Practically they probably won't, though they might actually keep track of "regular daily parkers" who park 'n ride.
There's nothing stopping you from parking anywhere, including outdoors on the Kingsway side of the mall or in the covered open area around the ramps down to T&T, either.

When I worked at Metrotown, I used to park my car in the Silvercity section P2 during the weekdays, I had no problems. During the weekend, they recommended me to park my car on the otherside on the roof floor, and I also had no problems.

If you stay there for too long, they will give you a warning ticket.
Though I've only received it once. I cannot tell you what happens afterwards.

what time is your interview? is it at shaw?
i usually park my car at metrotown and get to waterfront station in about 20-30 minutes
on a side note..
does anyone know the specific rules for employee parking at metrotown? i was given an employee pass from my parent's friend. i would leave my car parked for about 10 hours in the silvercity parking lot on p1 and did that for about.. 3 months. finally the other day, i received a warning ticket. it said that i had parked in the wrong spot during the weekends and also something about the pass expiring in march? any ideas on how the system works?

You can park there for as long as you like, sometimes we'll leave some crappy car there till 4-5am and pick it up, beacuse they never lock up the parking. That being said, be careful of break-ins, cameras arn't everywhere.

Used to work in the Metrotowers like 8 years ago and was able to get into the mall's Tim Horton's at like 6am but we had some secret tunnel that went into the mall from the tower.

I just parked around the Old Navy section today and got no warning but I'll probably head to the roof parking next time.

You can get in 24/7 through the underground by the security. During Xmas when I had to start my shift at 4-5am i had to go through there. Not a big deal.

They do ticket cars after the initial 3 hrs of parking. The ticketing is done by the security guards that pretty much slacks off most of the time. They do mark tire with chalk sometimes and all of this done randomly depending on your luck. Btw I still have a employee parking pass from working at Metro from along time ago.........
Mickey Style:
The parking pass is pretty much useless if they do check on your car as the parking pass is being registered with your parent's friend license plate and also you have to park at employee parking spots/area those spots are usually marked with a triangle and as for the expiration date it might be a new thing cuz they didn't have it back then..........
