A lot of the time was spent with the 2 guys dancing around and twirling each other, which is why they both were so tired at the end of the fight. If big blows aren't thrown within the first 10 seconds, the fight is going to suck.
If a hockey shift is supposed to last 40 seconds, you know a minute long fight is going to suck.
In my mind, a good fight is one where both guys are throwing and landing bombs on each other.

But again, it is up to the ref's descision as to when it is safe for them to go in and end the fight. It is a bit of a joke the fight was allowed to go on for so long, especially since both guys were so tired by the end.
