Hey guys,

i felt when my cars runs, i can hear some vibrate noise, I think it is from tire.

The car drives fine with no problem, just the vibrate noise from tire is bugging me.

So what do you guys think? Do i need a tire balance done to get rid of the vibration? or it could be something else.

my dealership mechanic told me it is noisy and vibrating just because of the tire is noisy tires (Goodyear), the only way is to replace the tires later, is that true?

TIA

could be just tires, balancing, or tie rods (inner and outer) or bearings or ball joints....who knows...

What car is it? Sometimes the noise could come from interior trims close to the wheels as well.

I would have to see it. You could temporarily put your spare tire on that side and see if the noise goes away. If so, it's something to do with that tire / rim.

well, i took it there, the mechanic said it is probably just because the tire is noisy, but i suspect that its because the tire is not balanced properly. Just wanna get somet thoughts from you guys.

do i need to have the tires re-balanced?

Were the tires changed, or patched recently?

nope.. i got the car used tho.

so not sure if the tires are balanced properly

un-balanced tire will cause vibration correct?

yes, it'll cause vibration that you should be able to feel in the steering wheel.

well, its not exactly vibration in the steering wheel

its more like i feel the wheel/tire vibrate a little bit with some noise as well. it is pretty mininal though.

any thoughts?

just get the shop to look at it again and check out the front end and balance both front tires. even if they charge you for it, it's better than anyone here guessing at your problem.

can you do any work yourself or will it be done at a dealership anyways?

see if you can get them to take a which look at everything else while the tire is balancing, just in case.
