fuckin rights chilliwack #5!!!! "Thats how we do around here"

i would say these are pretty accurate. the province did somethign similiar a year or 2 ago and chilliwack was 6th or 7th and the other cities were about in the same place they were in this one.

It's based on per capita and it includes everything. Look at the murder rate, because Port Coquitlam only has 60,000 people you get a couple murders and it's equivilant to 20 people getting killed in Vancouver or 14 in Surrey.

You can use statistics to prove or disprove anything you want it's all in the wording.

Yeah.. they've got Kelowna listed twice. At #19 and #63. So, either it's safer than average or more dangerous than average.

Data from Nunavut and the Northwest Territories are excluded from the provincial and territorial score calculations due to their extreme crime rate values, which are inconsistent with the distribution of the rest of the country.

Snowmobile theft and liquor truck robberies must be HUGE up north.

I guess Surrey and Vancouver should be higher up now after all the recent shootings since this article was using 2007 data.

My buddy is a prison guard in a small town up in the NW territories and nearly 65% of the town's population, roughly 2100 people, have been in jail for one thing or another.

no doubt. i've lived in both east van and almost every crevice of surrey for a good portion of my life and can honestly say, beyond a shadow of a doubt, in the issue of crime, surrey pales in comparison. van is just riddled with it. i love it though. it's just funny how everyone says surrey is such a rough place

Thats what I was thinking too. I would rather live in Poco than Coquitlam as far as safety is concerned.

I would have thouht that chilliwack would have been way closer to abbotsford in crime, the percentage difference is larger than the travel distance! But I guess they might not include crime at the border
