David Beckham will stay at AC Milan until the end of the season, before returning to the LA Galaxy.A unique "timeshare" agreement has been reached allowing the England midfielder to play for Galaxy between July and October.

He will then return to Milan in November for the remainder of next season.

It is understood that Becks is so determined to stay in Italy that he will fund the majority of the loan fee himself.

Beckham will not have the sort of long summer break most players in Europe enjoy but he will have several shorter breaks instead.

He will have some time off before rejoining Galaxy in July, and then another break before returning to Milan in November.

When asked if the former England captain would remain at AC Milan for the remainder of the campaign, club sporting director Ariedo Braida said: "I believe he will but it's not official yet."

The deal is expected to be announced later today or over the weekend.

It is not yet clear whether Becks' wife and family will join him in Italy. There have been reports that Victoria wants to stay in Los Angeles since the couple's three boys are now settled in schools there.

Biggest mistake he made in his career was going to LA.....actually wait, no it wasn't because he never gave a fuck about the MLS or LA Galaxy and went for the money.

Yes we all know he went for the money but he shouldn't bitching now for coming back to LA to finish his contract.

Whats LA's stance on this?

Are they pissed off? Neutral? They made their fair share of money through sales and they are happy to let him go?

I'm sure this whole lending fiasco was talked about way before he signed a contract with LA. Personally if I was the manager of the Galaxy I'd be seeing him in court.

kinda OT, but did you guys hear about a supposed Orange Card process being thought about?

UEFA President Michel Platini is suggesting to issue "Orange Cards"

The head of the judicial committee of Italy Pierluigi Collina told about the contents of the discussion during the meeting of the FIFA Committee for consideration of amendments to the rules of football. In particular, the Northern Ireland Football Association has proposed to introduce the orange card.

“It will be offered the player for a violation that is not drawn to be removed, but is too blatant to be punished a yellow card. Invite your orange card will be the player for a time removed from the field “- the word brings Collin Gazzetta dello Sport.

So far they are talking about the player having to leave the field for 2 minutes and testing the card in Italy first.

^ sort of like a temp penalty ????
what good is that going to be???
making plays in soccer takes longer than 2 minutes , its not hockey u cant just DUMP it in and do a power play and expect to score.

I know. First thing that came to mind was 2 minutes in soccer is nothing compared like 2 minutes in hockey. And if anything, getting fouled means you can take a nice 2 minute breather lol. They should make you run 2 minute laps atleast or something.

you can take a breather on the field when that position doesnt have the ball, so no point. Dont see the purpose of it anyways.

they didn't want to let him go, Milan wanted to buy him but what LA were asking was just too much
