Got and used the razor, it looks sleek as hell and has a nice heft to it. It gave an amazingly smooth shave but the 5 blades make it a little bulky for some of the trickier spots. The open back is great for rinsing the blades too.

^^i think its more of a less irritation thing, so their's less tugging and pulling between hair and blades. After receviing the proglide, irritation after shaving reduced to near none. i used to use Fusion too so its not like a upgrade from a shitty shaver. The buzzing in my case helps a fucking lot. i love it.

Not really free, but London Drugs is giving out Schick 5 blade razor in exchange for your old one. ONE exception being that it can not be a disposable and the razor has to be removable. I traded in my gilette gamer razor or whatever the heck it is.

Never been a Schick fan but not the worst razor I've tried.

I agreed with you until I tired the Proglide. Wow, what a difference. I'm glad I'm out of Mach 3 razors, will not be going back

I have very tough hair, and shave my entire head too. Thus I need a blade that's fairly cheap, or stays sharp longer. So far I am very impressed with the Proglide. I've gotten more shaves out of it than I would from a Mach 3, so this justifies the price increase.

I always rolled my eyes at the vibrating razors, and didn't have much hope for the Proglide either. Tried the Proglide with and without vibrating, and again, Wow, what a difference. My tough hair usually causes blades to stick a bit and thus irritate my face, yet the vibrating action allowed the blade to glide smoothly.

The proglide cartridges are $21 for 4! Ouch!

The shave was awesome, yet the blade did not hold up for very long. Thus it'll cost me nearly 3 times what I was paying for my Mach1 refills, for blades that are clearly better, yet have about the same lifetime. I don't know if the shave is worth 3x the price.

Anyway, went to Subway this morning. Surprised it wasn't busy. Steady trickle at best.

Free stuff works with me. Sick as it sounds, I miss going to Subway. I'll go back for lunch soon. It's like free hot dogs at Summitt Tools during their monthly three day sale events. The free hot dog gets me in there and I end up spending tonnes of money there. KMS has the same deal, but they ask for donations. Not just a casual, "Hey, would you like to donate?" That turned me off. I don't go there anymore. Summit is a no questions asked, enjoy the free pop and hot dog thing. They're pretty friendly, too. They even ask you how many do you want? Shopping there is always a good experience.

Not always a freebie, but this will get you free stuff:

Places like Walmart and Home Depot (pretty much any major chain) follows a "scanning code of practice" (or something like that). Basically, if you catch something at the checkout that is coming up at the wrong price, and point it out to them, and mention the scanning code of practice to them, they should give it to you free if it's $10 or under, or a certain percentage off up to $xx if it's over.

It only works for one of each item (ie if you have 5 of a shirt, you'll only get one free) but still, it's free stuff. So watch those checkouts! I got a free shirt the other day.

Daughter wanted a ride home from SFU. On the way down the hill, I go Production Way and stop at the Mac's on the corner of Lougheed. At first, I couldn't find the 414ml bottles. I printed quite a few. Black and white laser printer, but the image is very low res, so the end result was sucky bar code. All they do is bring out a proper coupon and use it, instead.

I was at Production Way again this morning and saw a mom with two little kids. I gave her a few coupons and she was all happy. On my way to Blood Services to donate blood, I went by the Mac's on Broadway. Homeless dude was holding doors open for people so I gave him a dime to cover the recycling fee and gave him a coupon.

BTW, the coupons work on all Coke products of 414ml size (Sprite, Coke Zero Diet Coke and Regular Classic Coke).

After donating blood, I was headed for the Apple store in Oakridge. Swung by the Mac's on Oak and 49th Ave. Dude goes, "You need to print the coupon bigger. I'll use someone elses coupon, but next time, print it bigger." So, I guess they don't care how many times you go, as long as it is not like more than one a day.

i think you got it wrong... it's 7 centimeters from the center of your pupil to the other center of pupil... not the gap between your eyes..
