in no way am i suggesting that it is or is not the "best" case scenario... for him... maybe he wants to be lonely all his life and not feel committed...

okay dude, you have to approach that statement with a little less seriousness, and a little more humour. Plus, I'm almost certain the article is posted in RS out of humour of the situation, and not as an appalling crime.
