the BAD:
we'll start w/ the bad b4 the good.. right off the bat.. the car got a VI for h.i.d.s around dec. of 08. b4 he took care of that problem his but then his engine gave out, and the car went in for a swap. after the swap he tried to get insurance only to find out that he needs to take care of his VI first.

what it will need:
front windshiled (big crack not smashed), maybe new shocks / struts ( dont know much about VI's) and stock exahust to pass VI.

the GOOD n partslist:
-18msr rims w/ brand spanking new tires. he got them b4 the snow hit and drove on them for probably 2000k.
-minimal rust on the body (just an inch on the quarter panel typical on these cars).
-as mentioned complete and done b18a1 off a 92 integra ls.
-tokiko adjustable shocks paired w/ skunk2 coils.
-generic aftermarket exhaust 3" tip.
-alpine deck/subs.

asking price 4200 obo. low balls will be considered.. he wants it gone.. like yesterday. he jus wants money for a down on the new car once surrey honda locates one 4 him.

* just an idea of how big a hit hes taking.. he bought the car for 5400 two years ago, and spent about 2500 on the swap not including the xtra parts.. the car has 0 kms on the rebuild and the chasis has about 2xx xxx k. pics will follw soon.

You're an idiot. The vehicle runs as he said, but needs a vehicle inspection in order to get insurance and drive it legally, therefore, it'll have to be towed:rolleyes:

man, VI's suck when insurance runs out. can't do anything until it's dealt with.
what were his instructions on dealing with it? last time i got one all i had to do was replace the windshield and bring it down to the station to have an officer make sure it had been done.

the VI was supposed to be just for his hids.. so he went and installed halogens.. and took it to get VI'd but then the guy said that its pointless when he saw the windshiled cuz he'll fail it anyways..


if i didn't already have an integra and a lancer i would buy this from him. my wife would jus kill me though :P

have you got a quote for the windshield and what else is needed to pass the VI?

^his mechanic friend took a look @ it already and he said its most likely the 3 things that it needs to pass (windshield, stock springs, and maybe a stock exhaust, all very easy to source.)

hes told me that hes going to try to do the VI himself in a few weeks.. i'll post if he does.
