I have yet to try it, but it's pretty much a splashtop.

Asus has something like this preinstalled on some of their motherboards. I haven't tried it out yet.

Most new computers modded these days could boot their PC in 30 seconds. I can boot mines up within 30seconds.

if i take out my hds but one i can boot up in less than 30 seconds lol

I just leave mine on standby.
Mine can go from pushing the power button to searching on Google in Opera in about 50 seconds if I disable AHCI. The AHCI BIOS takes about 20 seconds to load :(

AHCI is fucking gay...before it was the SATA controller loading that pissing me off, now AHCI. I could boot up windows in 25 seconds without this gay bios, and I don't find it any faster

You need to use AHCI to get full use of HDD technologies

sometimes i use the asus thingy.... forgot what its called. but its quite useful
do you guys turn off your desktop often? i leave mine on all the time
the only thing i find presto or similar useful for is netbooks or laptops

I always go take a piss or a dump when I start up my netbook / desktop. When I come back, everything should be ready

i always shutdown my pc and hibernate my laptop since i need a fast bootup on my laptop
