Any good cheesecake places in Vancouver?
Looking to eat it in the place, not just order a whole thing or something.
Not downtown... I know Cheesecake etc. but that's about it.. and the bad thing about that is they open pretty late.
I'm looking for something I could go maybe say in the afternoon after 2ish pm.
I had this cheesecake someone bought me, I think it was near 16th and Trafalgar? Anyone know the name and if you can have cheesecake there on the site as well?
thanks

Hmm...I went there tonight with my lady friend.
We ordered the white chocolate cheesecake. Personally, we didn't think it was all that great. For one, it tasted nothing like chocolate nor cheesecake. It tasted more like Gerber baby food. Mind you, they use very interesting ingredients, so perhaps that is why it tasted odd and rather unordinary. The place is very small, service isn't the world's greatest, and the place gets packed. I don't think I'd go back.

Isn't there a place on Granville called Cheesecake Etc. which specialises in the stuff?

i'd just go to pappagallos. notice the consistent recommendations and the fact that it's been around for at least 15 years. i'm gonna bet that you could combine all the other non-chain suggestions and they might have 15 years of existence total.

Endurance doesn't necessarily equate to quality. Following such logic, chain restaurants should be best because of their ability to expand and remain popular.

Gotta bump this... Anyone know where I can get a genuine NY cheesecake in Vancouver? I don't mean a NY style cheesecake but an actual cheesecake from NY. A few coworkers said some high end restaurants bring theirs in daily from NY but they couldn't name a particular restaurant that does it...

There's a honger place across from NICX in richmond (same mall) that serves very good cheesecake. Dunno the name. I had a parfait there too, highly recommended.
