I currently have short hair, I guess you can call it a buzz cut. I usually trim every 3 days but my current trimmer is getting old so i'm planning on buying a new trimmer. I came across the short cut clipper, the video on the remington site looks great but just wondering if anyone here has actually used one? Is it worth the $50+ tag or should I just purchase a general hair trimmer.

I'm not sure what kind of cutter you have now. If your issue is a dull grabbing blade, you may be able to sharpen it. All you need is stone(s).
There's a youtube vid to show you how to do it.

Its worth shot before buying something new.

I bought one earlier this year. It you want an even hair cut, it does the job and is fairly easy to use. However, don't expect to do fades or anything like that. The battery doesn't last very long, so you'll need to charge it every 2-3cuts. The small trimmer it comes with is rubbish though. When I tried using it around my ears, I ended up hacking whole pieces of hair off. You're better off using your standard beard trimmer for more precise trimming.
Futureshop sells the clipper for $39.99.
