Sub is very quiet...problem

components:
Alpine Phantom XL HU
1x Alpine Mrd-500
2x Alpine Mrv-350

Problem:

So anyways i had this setup a longtime ago and it worked fine...fast forward 3 years later with it back in another car, my sub doesnt seem to want to pound. She moves very little and puts out very little sound...switched it from the mrv-500 to the mrv 350 to see if she would work and nothing....

I replaced it with another sub and same deal...( little movement, little noise)

what could it be?

edit: i even set the amps to LP with HP off..and still she isnt complying...

Proper ground? Is the amp getting full juice? Is the Sub DVC and hooked up properly? Does it sound scratchy if you press down on the sub? The coil could be seized if you haven't used it in a long time?

Edit: noticed you said you tried 2 different subs.... hmmm. All I can think is power output is down? What about input to the amp? Is the signal to the amp strong?

Berz out.

RCAs? The connectors may be corroded, and not contacting properly.
