Why would you say that? It's a still camera first and foremost. Shooting video with a 5DmkII or any SLR-type camera is awkward to say the least...it's not very comfortable.

expected smth along the lines off.... d90? its pretty good as far as I remember i KNOW its more but this T1i is surly smth to look into... when i saw it I wanted to switch over =D

The 50D has more noise than the 40D though.. If this continues in the same tradition the T1i will have more noise than the XSi.

i would have thought 30fps to be a bare minimum for high def video to help with motion... ah well!

It's 30fps on 720p mode which i think is still great for a DSLR, depends what your filming...

The price is so great for a camera with all these options, I was going to upgrade to the 50D, still might because not impressed with the speed of the T1i (3.4 fps shooting)... besides the speed I want this camera.

thats cheap! The problem with theses cameras is that they drop in price like no tomorrow , they release new ones too fast! First there was a rebel, then came the xt then xti now xs and xsi now 500D
