Help! Can't right click in explorer

For some reason after reformatting, I can't right click in Internet explorer, 7 or 8.

I can right click anywhere else in explorer (like the toolbars, tabs, etc) it just will not work within the browsing area.

any ideas why?

this is a clean reformat. I only basics installed like MSN, anti-virus (tried disabling that, no good), itunes, blackberry software...

thanks
