The Wyatts are basically replacing Shield as the monster heel group. Unfortunately for that act, one one of them can actually wrestle. And he hasn't really been good since coming back either.

The build has been so good, but pretty much impossible to follow up on. Unless they go around chopping people to pieces, they're pretty much just wrestlers.

OK so basically that's all there is to it - he's burnt out and done with WWE. He is tired of being the #2 or #3 top face rather than the #1 heel. He is beat up and was just going through the motions lately... His contract was up in July anyway, and nobody expected him to resign. He tried to get in touch with Vince all day on Monday, but Vince was busy rewriting the show (to deal with the crowd potentially taking over again) so they couldn't talk before the show was about to start.
