DYNO Results for the Haters - 443.47rwhp and 429.53lb ft of torque at 21psi.

I moved to Edmonton a couple years ago, but I thought I'd post my dyno chart for the non believers. lol.
A big thank you goes out to Horsepower Solutions, Edmonton, for the Dyno time. Great guys to deal with.
I made 443.47hp and 429.53lb ft of torque at 21psi, at the rear wheels. We had to stop because I couldn't figure out how to disable the overboost protection in megasquirt... now that I have that solved, I'll be returning to do a 25psi run. The timing also needs to be tuned.

Here is a poor quality video of one pull, but it wasn't the peak power pull.

It's been a few years. My old profile "danpinder" doesn't seem to exist anymore. At least I think that's what it is... anyways... haters will recognize the car. lol

Well, for the sake of your pocket book, thank goodness there's no turbo kit for non-M e46's.

Kit? I don't understand the point of buying a kit. You can make more power and end up with something better by making your own setup.
If you think there are not any turbo e46 non m3s running around, you are wrong.

Thanks... I'm actually quite impressed myself. I wasn't expecting that much torque.

true. the only part of a kit that i would want is the software for the stock ecu, other than that most BMW stuff is grossly overpriced.
an LSx would slip right in though ;)

rofl, still using bungee chords? Upgrade to CF ones? roflcopter!
But good power. Congratulations.
I'm just sort of shocked that you're still holding a grudge after... 4 years. I'm sure most don't even remember. I had to think really hard to finally remember. Move on and enjoy your car.

Pretty sure I posted this up light heartedly. I think it's funny.
I don't recall any bungee cords? Most people just didn't like that it was custom fabbed and not an off the shelf kit... didn't believe that I could make good power. Sad really.
I'll be in the 500rwhp club soon. Booyaa. lol

JB weld is awesome. I love that stuff... and I still rock it in one spot.
I had to use it before to plug a hole in the stock manifold. Worked awesome and I'd do it again if I needed to.
And actually.. they were eibach linier race springs from ground control.
Yup.. had a 90deg.. still didn't boost creep.
See.. hate on haters. Just know that my ride has large brass testicals.

I'd be interested in seeing the setups, I haven't come across any on E46Fanatics.
Not saying they don't exist, just would be cool to see.

Thank you for showing us that there are still extreme doushbags in Victoria.
That is at FULL DROOP ON A HOIST. It would never do that on the street. What you can't see is that they are sitting on an adjustable perch inside the original spring cup. When the car is sitting on the ground it lines up.
It's been 4 years... I haven't changed the springs... it drives good... they have never fallen out, shifted, caused issues... etc. I think you're just jealous. ;)

I spent about 30secs on google and found one clip... not sure... do some digging... they are out there. Still... you can do your own setup.
I wouldn't think twice about it... but I learned a lot doing my car, so it would be a lot easier the second time around.

Did you check on DTMPower.net?? There are quite a few turbo e36s on there... might be some e46s too.3
I'd love to pick up a 318 e46 and drop in an 86 m30 3.8l motor,,, you can make 800hp on a stock motor if you slap a turbo and MS on it. Stock with something like 7.8:1 compression.

Could be I've mixed you up with someone else... were you custom making a front bumper for your car to try and mass produce and sell?

Was this the one that was turboed in Victoria 4-5 years ago, or another one?

Yeah that's me. I got the body kit finished... I'm rocking it on my ride. Designed it from scratch.
The only thing I recall having bungee cords on was a POS mazda 626 I had for a few months. lol.
But hey... carbon fiber bungees would be awesome. Could be I just don't remember... I wouldn't put it past me to do something ghetto like that for a short period.

I know exactly what you mean!!! No, I'm only running the 2.5bar map sensor... freaking sucks... need to change it. I ran into a problem on the dyno with overboost protection kicking in... I would have just disabled it on the dyno, but I didn't now how... found out when I got home though (set it to 100kpa).
That will be the next mod, 3bar map sensor, along with meth injection and we'll up the boost.

I just installed the RS Autosport 3bar in mine, really nice upgrade kit for way less than the cost of a GM 3bar. I'm also installing the Extra daughterboard from Glens Garage that has goodies like drivers for water/meth pump and high speed solenoid.

If you want to have a lot of fun, get the AEM 5 bar map and the Gizzmo MS-IBC boost controller. It goes up to 5 bar as well, and has 2 multi scramble settings + a remote button, so you can add boost for X amount of time with a touch of a button. It's pretty rad :) That way you're not wearing your party hat all the time, just when you want to.

Nice work... never thought you would still be modding the same car... Seems most on here have moved on to new projects. I've had four cars since my old 325.
Car looks good, the e30's still hold huge appeal to me.

Psssst...grasshoppa..... 5bar MAP sensor will lose you resolution like crazy, and the RS-Autosport 3bar and 4bar sensors are already programmed into Megatune, no need to mess around with voltage/pressure curves like I had to with the 3.5bar AEM sensor you're running.

I'll check that out... thanks! MS is awesome.
You can get the RS Autosport sensors from Glens Garage or DIY Auto Tune, but Glens is the only place with the daughterboard for the water/meth stuff and so much more. DIY Auto Tune was great years ago when he built his own ECU's, but now he farms them out, and seeing their soldering makes my blood boil (I had to rebuild a fresh ECU from them for someone).
MS is very inexpensive, and if you've got the time to tinker with it then it's a very cost effective solution. There's plenty that I don't like about it after using it for 4 years, but the cost of upgrading to something like VEMS or Haltech would be better spent on a good turbo, in my opinion.

True true... in fact, I have 5 vehicles at the moment.
- 1967 Chevy Nova - Shaved Handles, sbc 377 w/ b&m 250 roots blower.
- 1975 BMW 2002 - Future track only car, currently gutted awaiting cage
- 1987 BWW e30 Turbo - this car
- 2008 dodge ram reg cab v8, shaved everything, 24s, lowered
- 1997 GMC Safari, work vehicle
I just have too much into the BMW, and I really wanted to finish it. I'm going re-spray it and do a custom leather interior at some point.
