Err... go to Futureshop and buy yourself a copy?
I was thinkin of buying a copy, or if they have a trial testing it out...but I think CS3 meets all and more of my needs.

Photoshop 5 will meet almost every amateur photographer's needs. Hell, when I first used Photoshop 1 on a Mac Classic with a monochrome screen and a monochrome scanner and printer, I thought it was magic! How times have changed, eh? :)

GiMP?
and academically, most institutions have keyservers therefore the key is provided from a "number" of keys in the database's registry

why would you pay for photoshop for personal use. if you got a business, ok... maybe
but dropping $1000usd + taxes on it, never in my lifetime.

Spending 1000 bux for personal use like someone said is stupid, just download the trial from adobe and find a free key on the net.

there are some websites that also sell Student Licenses for cheap. though the license is limited from 1-3yrs only the software is the full thing and licenses cost only a few hundred bucks.
there may be people sharing the software somewhere bu the moment you make enough money using the software you should buy the full verson.
