My psu is making a ton shit of noise
is there anything i can do to it to quieten it?
it makes a vibrating noise but when i push against it, it's fine again.
can i spray some wd40? lol
i don't really want to replace it. but i guess they're not expensive.
so what do you suggest? should re tighten it? loosen it?
i've tried compressed air and it hasn't helped whatsoever.
thanks!

The fan bearing probably died....
You can try to repair it, but its probably easier to just buy a new PSU.
Buy a brand-name one...they tend to last longer.

Yeah, not much you can do about fans not spinning properly. If you want, you could open up the PSU and take a look at what kind of fan it uses. If you're lucky, it might use a common size with a common plug that you can get a replacement for... but usually not.

Best to let it sit aside for awhile after unplugging it... but it's really not a big deal. I've opened up numerous PSU housings in the past.

i think i'll just replace it.
what's the point of wattage? is higher going to necessarily be better? or should i just stick to whatever mine is rated at?
