i have fructis wax and dax wax wax and i tried both products with hairspray to get a hard hold, but the hairspray does not have much effect to my hair when ive used wax. Anyone know of a wax product that works well with hairspray to give a hard hold?

If you can wait a month, surface shipping is cheap ;)
Or buy a few more things. If you buy 2 or 3 products, shipping isn't that bad at all.

Probably! I've had several people use that method already! I would never do it, but it's a LOT cheaper than normal airmail.
A lot of people order $150+ of product, and in that case EMS is about the same price as Airmail. That only takes 2-3 days to arrive.
Just now, someone ordered a $12 wax, and spent $25 on EMS shipping. That I don't understand.

HAAH same here. It's ridiculous how much we're actually paying for international shipping but then again it's international.
However, surface is just wayyyy too long, its 2-3months i believe and airmail isn't worth the money.

Green doesn't have a very strong hold. If it's not enough for you, try Orange instead. It's similar, but slightly stronger.

^^^ The UNO W Design Fiber (http://www.kakoistyle.com/116-uno-w-design-fiber-sharp-design-wax.html) double wax is pretty awesome. It has two parts - You have a fibre gum to work some volume and control into your hair, and a hard wax to define the tips.

I don't get why people say Gatsby Air Rise doesn't work. Do people not look at the descriptions for the products anymore? It's not for crazy gravity defying hold for super saiyan hair, it's used to give longer hair a bit of volume and texture by gathering strands into clumps.
In other words, it works but not for what you're trying to do with it.
Anyways, on to the OP's question. Hair spray and wax typically don't work too well together if you apply wax first, then use hairspray. You're basically covering up the hair strands' surfaces with wax and that prevents the hairspray from clinging to the hair strand the way it was meant to. In order for it to work you wind up using way more hairspray than you'd normally need, and that's just bad for the environment (and wallet)!
Solution? Spray the roots first, then define tips with wax. It's easier to rub out the hair spray and define the tips with wax by using your thumb and forefinger. If you really need the hard hold of hairspray as opposed to the flexible wax, then you need it at the roots. Think of it like a building. The bottom supports the top parts, so you should reinforce the bottom. Back combing also helps but it's pretty harsh on your hair and is only necessary for longer hair styles.
Like miss_crayon's brother, I use Got2B hair spray, and some korean brand mugen gets! wax.

I use this Tresemme wax that works pretty well as a Gatsby substitute since my local T&T gets it on rare occasions (last time it did, I got pink and grey, but next time I'm trying blue). Havent been able to try out hairspray since it'd be a waste if I'm playing rugby.

anyone know where to get sebastian clay locally?
it seems like the sebastian clay doesnt leave an oily residue on the hair when i wash it off where as the gatsby clays makes my hair feel oily and sticky even after shampooing 2-3 times.

are there any products that can prevent wind from ruining my "short" hair in a convertible? LOL
gatsbys are most common however its not a good quality for your hair.
try schevastian(Clay) or nakano(all kinds). you just need a decent hair spray.
as long as it just holds good, thats it.
