Wicked show.. Next one is Samurai vs. Viking!!! There have been reruns on all week on Spike next show in the series is this week. I also think the gladiator would have killed the apache on a one on one fight but meh.

tuesday at 10pm on spike its a great show bullshit though how apache won last week the gladiator beat him in the face with the spiked gloves and he still got up. those things are deadly as shown by chuck liddell.

It was funny when the gladiator had him down and was pounding him in the face with that spiked glove, but then decided to get up instead of just pounding his face off lol...the Apache has one hell of a chin haha

lol yea when the apache got one to the face I thought he was done. However, I'm not in shock the apache won. I actually though they would but I think in real life it would all depend on the situation. Yes the Gladiator has tons of strength but this ain't a video game. In real life one hit with any of those lethal weapons could do you in. Those damn Apaches with their speed plus throwing their tomahawks, knives, + shooting arrows could have killed the gladiator before he even gets close. But once again depends on the situation. Great show though i've watched it and all the re runs lol.

Those of you that are fixated on the last dramatization, it's not really relevant to the results. The computer program is supposed to calculate what would happen in 1000 hypothetical battles between the Apache and the Gladiator. Statistically, the Apache won out more than 70% of the time I think.

The final vignette was just to showcase how one battle MIGHT have played out, and probably to show how each weapon would be used, including the spike glove. Has nothing to do with the real results.

Then again we are talking about Spike TV here.

Meh, I think the Vikings should've won, you can't stop 6+ft, 200+lbs of brute strength and they really undervalued the shield. Sword/Axe + Shield is a far more deadly combo than portrayed on the show.

Fair enough.

The thing is, apache had metal knives and other weapons which can act equally as useful.

Gladiators typically did not wear too much armor. They were slaves for entertainment. So their lives were not valued. So when we take armor out of the equation, it does not really matter what type of metal weapons you use. Human skin is very easy to penetrate and as such, it would lean more towards the attributes of the fighters.

I'm pretty sure the ninja would never fight someone like that out in the open, as they are assassins that go for the quick kill from behind or through the element of surprise with their elite skills. So obviously in a one on one fight a spartan with all that armor vs. a ninja with no armor would win.

I have a feeling I will be let down from the shaolin monk coming up. Monks dont really have good killing weapon - they are peaceful in nature. Would be more fair if they put monks up against someone in a hand-to-hand combat against... MMA expert.

The video is just a bullshit dramatization that tries to display each side using each of their weapons. The simulator runs 1,000 scenarios to get the winner result.

They should start pitting warriors against animals too lol.

That just showed one of the battles. They apparently run the battle through 1000 times.

I'm pretty sure the Ninja could have won 1000 times if they factor in that he can hide all those times and have an accurate shot of the dart.

As said in the post-show video (http://is.gd/uC6Z), this is "Deadliest Warrior" not "Deadliest Assassin"

Ninjas make great assassins, but in a one-on-one fight, don't stand a chance against a Spartan. I'm surprised it wasn't more one-sided. I expected the Spartan to win 80-100% of the time.

They didn't even give them a head to target with the sai - just a torso. Of course the kill rate would be lower. No throat shot or uppercut through the brain.

And baseball bat vs. nunchucks? Why wouldn't they use the sword?.

I do agree that the tommygun and sawed off are better firearms but Yakuza should've taken it with the short range weapons sai/sword.

Oh yeah, it was so stupid how the threw that Molatov cocktail into the car WITH NO WINDSHIELD. WTF??? Even though the grenade won, it was still a dumb example.

I think the funniest part of the show it is the people in it. All the pride they have and them bashing each other is funny. I wonder how much skill is entered in their program or is it all based on the strength of the weapons.

Yakuza vs. Mafia was the lamest episode out of all of them. The way they played the characters and the weapons was pretty gay. It wouldve been a lot cooler if they had used modern day yakuzas and maybe give a bit more history on both gangs.
