I was in Scottsdale AZ last week and was referred to the best gelato place I've ever been to. So I just want to compare it to local places to verify that they were indeed that good.

The only gelato place I can think of is Mario's Gelato on No.3, and it's not that good...

Come on guys , I'm looking for the BEST places - nothing nasty please :) Figured La Casa Gelato in Vancouver would come up but this place in Arizona is definitely better than they are. Plus I want to go out tonight to try some locally in Richmond since I live here.

I'm guessing marble slab creamery on denman doesn't count? Damn that place is great...

I think that is Mondo. I used to live by the one on Robson. They are OK but the AZ place is much better for sure.

Has anyone tried the gelato place on venables? Heard it was pretty good.

That is La Casa Gelato I think. They have a ton of flavors but again they aren't as good as the place I went to.
I guess for Richmond I would say Mondo's, they're pretty decent except I don't know why they don't change their flavours anymore like when they first opened.

I tried one on Commercial a long while ago and I thought they were really good. I think the name of it is Dolce Amore.
