Rapidshare is worth it. My 1 year membership was up last month but I had enough points to extend my account for another 6 months for free.

I got a MU account. Def worth it if you are a frequent uploader of a RS/MU type of forum. RS is more annoying, but it's easier to get premium. MU is much more preferable, but it takes over 10k downloads to get one month worth of premium. IMO, Mediafire is the best. But you gotta pay to get the most out of everything.

For example instead of naming a file

Hells.Kitchen.US.S05E11.WS.PDTV.XviD-FQM.part2.rar

you would name it hkus.s05e11

not that tv shows get taken down all that much..

Mediafire gives me the fastest downloading speed for me. Plus, no wait times + infinite downloads if you have an Internet Download Manager.

Yup, but I've noticed even with renamed files for full albums rapidshare is still taking the links down. I suspect the record labels just google album names and forward the links to rapidshare to have it removed.

Yeah, mediashare has good speeds. I sometimes get 1mb/s downloads from $$$$$$$$$$ without a account. Zippyshare is also good because you get a preview like zshare but you don't have to wait to download files.

I just started using JDownloader a few days ago... and it's not bad, but might be a bit overkill for the average user.

Another program that downloads Rapidshare queues is Rapidshare Plus, and that one is a little more user friendly...
