Didn't know where to put this, so it goes here.
After an oil change, where can i safely and legally dispose of the used oil?
Will local shops take it off my hands?
Thanks

I do my best to distance myself from that store at all costs due to the sever lack of service.. but point taken on the nick names haha.
Ill find a bucket (with seal able lid) and head down there this weekend :).

I'm pretty sure you can dispose of it for free at the hartland landfill fill too.

I have a 5 gallon gas can that I use to collect my used motor oil and when it's full it's off to my friendly neighborhood Canadian Tire. They also take used oil filters.

That's good to know hartland will take it, butcrappy tire is so much more closer to my place. I'll let them deal with it!

Go to any gas station and ask them. legally they have to know were the nearest place to recycle oil is.
