I thought the reason why Capcom had not put out a new MvsC game in recent years is because Capcom's license on Marvel Comics characters expired. Subsequently, Marvel agreed to a new exclusive license with Activision.

EDIT: just read some online blogs, etc about it. Speculation is that it is for a re-release of Marvel vs. Capcom 2 for the Xbox Live and PSN online stores. So it appears it's not really a "new marvel vs capcom" as this thread title states.

its not a new one
its MvC2 for psn and xbox live

they had the achievements listed already for the xbox live version
plus the rating for the game has been registered

so give it some time and the game will be out

out this summer. just announced today on GS, IGN and other sites.

so stoked for this game it's not even funny. I own a PS2 copy but I want the upscaled graphics at least. plus online play. just plain awesome.
