I got a LG 22" widescreen LCD hooked up to a Toshiba A200-TH7 laptop. Everytime i simply plug in the toshiba charger into the notebook, i get these ghosting lines going up the screen...the moment i unplug it, bang..the ghosting is gone. it only happens at the highest resolution which is 1680x1050.

I've tried a number of things....

1. repositioning the wiring away from the laptop.
2. repositioning the laptop away from the monitor.
3. tried a different toshiba branded ac adaptor.
4. changed to different seperate outlets for each power cord.

anyways... lemme know if anyone has similar and if i just gotta live with it lol!

it's electrical noise in the power adapter there's coils of wire therefore causing feedback into the line. IF you had a monster power clean centre you wont have this happen.

I know cause it happened to me.... I can't believe it till I got myself a monster power bar

Does the VGA cable you're using have a ferrite core?

Those circular things:
